Sulphur disks of 5g supplied in 1kg cubes. The discs have a hole in the center to tie several at once.
When storing empty frames —especially those that contained brood or pollen— in warm conditions and without bees to protect them, wax moths can cause serious damage. If you don’t have a freezer or cold room, these sulphur discs remain one of the most effective traditional methods.
Controlled fumigation, simple and safe
This format includes 5 g discs packed in a 1 kg bucket. Each disc has a central hole, making it easy to string several together and hang them in the space to be treated.
When burned, the sulphur releases sulphur dioxide (SO₂), which kills wax moth larvae and adults, fungi and other contaminants. It’s ideal for preserving stored frames, supers, drums or even fermentation barrels.
How to use:
• Use 60–100 g of discs per m³ of volume.
• Place discs in a fireproof container or hang them from a wire in the centre of the space.
• Light the discs and seal the area tightly (empty hive, drum, storage box, etc.).
• Never use near bees or in poorly ventilated areas.
Recommended treatment:
• Apply when storing empty frames in warm weather (above 15 °C).
• Repeat after 10–14 days to break the life cycle.
• Reapply every 2–3 weeks if warm conditions persist.
• Always air frames for at least 24 h before placing them back in the hive.
Important: Do not use on frames containing unextracted honey. These discs are for empty combs only.
Safety precautions:
• Wear gloves and respiratory protection when necessary.
• Do not inhale the smoke.
• Toxic during combustion. Keep away from people and animals.
• Store out of reach of children.
Format: 1 kg bucket of 5 g non-dripping sulphur discs with central hole. Clean combustion and flexible dosing.
