Details of ANEL LockFit Replacement Entrance Door

Plastic door that fits in the entrance of the LockFit bottom board and rotates between open —with vent holes that only let a bee through— and closed, for winter, transport or quarantine. Single-piece replacement. Blue or yellow depending on stock.

🛡️ Blocks wasps, hawkmoths, mice and snakes

The bee-sized opening lets foragers in but stops the common wasp and the Asian hornet (Vespa velutina) when they try to raid in late summer. In closed position it also stops mice from getting in at the end of autumn, when most weak colonies are lost to chewed-up frames.

🔄 Twist to open, twist to close

You don't dismantle anything to switch modes: it rotates on its pins. Removal is only needed for cleaning or replacement and is done by gently squeezing the pins from the side. For transport and quarantine, fully closed position seals the colony at the entrance and avoids any bee escaping by accident.
