Details of ANEL LockFit Ventilated Base Langstroth (no door or drawer)

Body of the LockFit ventilated bottom board as a single piece: just the base, no entrance door, no anti-varroa drawer, no heels. For beekeepers who already have the system set up and need to replace the base after wear or accident, or who prefer to build the floor a la carte combining only the parts they'll actually use. Compatible with both plastic and timber Langstroth bodies.

🌬️ Open mesh with division-board guides

The lower surface is open mesh: by default it lets everything the colony drops —wax debris, brood remnants, falling varroa— pass through to the ground, keeping maximum ventilation that cuts moisture in the brood chamber, especially in winter and during heavy summer flows. If you want to collect the varroa for counting, you add the AN510010 drawer (sold separately): that's the part that turns the floor into a monitoring tool. Internal guides accept vertical division boards if you make mating nucs.

🏗️ Fits timber and plastic bodies

The reinforced rim is sized to seat both plastic Langstroth bodies and pine or cedar ones. It carries large holes for fixing to a pallet with cable ties or screws, and attaches to the body via PO51823 latches or through bolts. Useful if your apiary is mixed and you want a plastic floor under timber bodies to make them last longer.

🔄 Build it your way

If you bought the complete AN5100LFV SET, you can use this base as a spare when one breaks. If you go piece by piece, mount the base with four AN51009 heels, the AN510010 drawer, the AN51005 door and PO51823 latches. Virgin food-grade polyethylene with FCM Gold certification and a 10-year guarantee: the base is the lowest-wear part of the assembly.
