Replacement tray for the ANEL LockFit hygienic floor (3101) and its ventilated base (3241): BPA-free virgin polyethylene, 48.8 × 34 × 2 cm and 340 g, with a moulded grid to count the varroa drop. It goes in at the front, extending the landing board, or at the back, where it stays fixed; it washes with cold pressure water. ANEL guarantees it for ten years.
With the floor mesh everything falls to the ground: wax, debris and mites; the tray is what decides between ventilating everything and collecting everything, which is why it goes in and out with the month.
01 · COLLECT OR VENTILATE
In for winter and treatments, out in summer
Without the tray, the LockFit floor ventilates fully and drops to the ground what the colony cleans out: the summer and harvest position. With the tray in, the same lands on the grid and can be read, and the floor shuts the draught from below: the winter and monitoring position. At the front it extends the landing board and comes out without touching anything; at the back it stays fixed and does not get in the way of the entrance.
02 · THE GRID
Count the drop without opening the hive
The grid turns the tray into a sampling sheet: count by squares and multiply, without pulling the floor or disturbing the brood. It serves for the natural drop over several days, a guide to decide whether to treat, and for follow-up after a treatment, when the drop spikes and then falls. A film of vegetable oil on the tray keeps the mites stuck and stops ants carrying them off before you count. The natural drop is a clue, not a measurement: read it with the season, the colony’s strength and reinfestation from neighbours.
03 · THE MATERIAL
Polyethylene that holds no smell
BPA-free virgin polyethylene: it absorbs neither propolis nor wax, carries no smell from one hive to another and washes with cold pressure water; for a deep clean, warm water with neutral detergent and a rinse. It is the same part that comes with the complete LockFit floor (3101), to replace a broken one or to give the ventilated base (3241), sold without it, a tray.

The tray is supplied alone; the LockFit floor (3101), ventilated base (3241), entrance (3244) and leg (3242) come separately.
