One-piece plastic super frame designed for Dadant US hives. It measures 48 × 16 cm, with a straight 25 mm top bar and pre-formed cells 5.5 mm deep. It is used as a complete unit, with no wooden frame assembly or wiring, and provides the colony with a moulded cell pattern from the outset.
📐 Dadant US: do not confuse it with Dadant Blatt
This is a specific format: it fits Dadant US supers and is not a Dadant Blatt frame. Although both systems carry the Dadant name, their dimensions are not interchangeable. Before ordering, compare the overall length and top-bar type with one of your current frames; the purchasing reference here is 48 × 16 cm with a straight 25 mm top bar.
💡 Acceptance and cleaning, without promises
Pre-formed cells do not guarantee that the colony will work the frame immediately. Acceptance depends on colony strength, the available nectar flow and when the frame is introduced. If plastic frames are slow to be worked in your apiary, a thin coating of beeswax can be tried as a practical aid, not as a requirement or guarantee. For cleaning, avoid heat and do not place the frame in a wax melter until the material specification and temperature limit are available.
