01 · THE JAR

106 ml on six sides that are 150 g of honey

Clear glass with six flat sides, 49 mm across the flats and 99 high: the 106 ml nominal hold the 150 g of honey at 1.4 kg per litre. The flat side is what changes against the cylinder: the label sticks without creases or bubbles and reads head-on, the jar does not roll and in the box the sides nest and it moves less. It fits fillers with an 45-55 mm cup and works the same with runny, creamed or set honey.

02 · THE NECK

Standard TO53: the ordinary lid, not the Deep

The neck is a normal 53 mm Twist-Off, no high skirt: it takes the house’s standard TO53 lids, gold or black, in a pack of 25 to try (3129, 3130) and in a case of 2,000 (3194, 3195) for the pallet, two and a half cases. It is the same TO53 lid as the 106 Orcio (2421). A 53 neck with a 43 mm opening: it fills well with runny or creamed honey from the doser; with heavily set honey it is best to warm it first.

03 · THE PALLET

4,788 jars, 505 kg and truck access

4,788 jars come palletised and shrink-wrapped: at about 99 g each, around 505 kg with pallet and cardboard, to bottle in the order of 720 kg of honey. It is the unit of the own-brand producer or the cooperative bottling some seven hundred kilos a season in tasting jars: freight per jar is far lower than in packs, and glass, kept dry and wrapped, does not expire. It ships by pallet carrier, with truck access and a covered spot to unload. To try the format, the pack of 32 (2644); in the same hexagonal family, the 288 ml TO63 pallet (3315) and the 390 ml TO70 one (3304).

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

The pallet of jars is supplied without lids; the standard TO53 lids (3129, 3130, 3194, 3195) come separately.
