Details of · Pallet 1764 pcs 445 ml Glass Jar · TO 77 Compatible

Pallet of 1,764 cylindrical glass jars of 445 ml, with a Twist Off 77 finish and 248 g of glass each. Lid not included.

445 millilitres is 620 grams of honey, not half a kilo. That is the first sum to do, because it decides what you can put on the label.

01 · 620 GRAMS, NOT HALF A KILO

The jar dictates the selling format

With honey's density — 1.4 kg per litre — the 445 ml of capacity give around 620 g filled to the brim. That is the real weight of a full jar, and it matches no classic honey format: neither half a kilo nor a kilo.

Filling it with 500 g leaves nearly a fifth of the jar as air, and that shows on the shelf. This container is chosen to sell a 620 g format, or for products less dense than honey: a jam comes to about 580 g and a sauce stops at 445.

02 · TO 77 LIDS, AND YOU NEED 1,764

Two boxes of 950 cover the pallet

The finish is Twist Off 77, the same family several of the shop's containers use, and the lid is not included. TO 77 pasteurisable lids come in gold, black, white, silver, bronze, honeycomb and with a bee.

The sum that stops you coming up short: 1,764 jars call for 1,764 lids, and the large boxes hold 950. Two boxes cover the pallet with 136 to spare.

03 · 1,764 JARS WEIGH 437 KILOS

Before any honey goes in

Each jar is 248 g of glass, so the full pallet comes to around 437 kg empty. You need a pallet truck or forklift to unload it and firm ground to move it.

If your volume does not reach a pallet, the same jar is available in a pack of 25.

04 · 248 GRAMS OF GLASS PER JAR

Thick walls, for the line and for reuse

248 g of glass for 445 ml is over half a gram per millilitre, well above what a lightweight jar weighs. You feel it in the hand and you see it on the line: glass like this takes repeated handling and the knock against the bottler's star wheel.

It stands 113 mm tall by 81.6 mm across — low and wide. That shape takes a wrap-around label well and stacks stably, but it uses more shelf per unit than a slim jar.

05 · BEFORE YOU BUY

Order the TO 77 lids in the same order, and reckon on over 400 kg of glass at unloading.

✓ RIGHT FITBottling a 620 g format at volume, or jams and sauces in the same jar.
✕ WRONG FITA half-kilo format: nearly a fifth of the jar would be air.
⚠ NOT INCLUDEDThe TO 77 lids, ordered separately.
