Replacement fencing-style beekeeping veil for cotton suits and smocks in the same compatible system. It replaces a damaged or worn veil and attaches to the garment via a zip. It is not designed to be worn on its own nor does it constitute a complete protective garment on its own.

🧵 The zip determines compatibility

The fact that another garment also uses a fencing-style veil does not guarantee that it will fit. Before purchasing, compare the two halves of the zip: the type and size of the teeth or coil, the length of the zip, the starting point, the direction of closure and the shape of the stoppers. A small difference may prevent the zip from closing all the way round or leave a gap near the neck.

⚠️ Carry out a full test before entering the apiary

Fit the veil, close the zip fully and check that the mesh stays away from your face and neck when you turn your head. Check the seams, mesh, zip slider and attachment to the garment; a zip that is only half-closed renders the whole assembly ineffective. To wash and store, follow the instructions on the suit or smock label, avoid crushing the structure and allow the mesh to dry completely.
