A small hole in a veil’s mesh can ruin a visit to the apiary. This pack contains three adhesive mesh sheets for covering minor damage and restoring the closure quickly while you decide whether the veil needs a permanent repair or replacement.
The three adhesive fibreglass mesh sheets can be cut with scissors. Leave a margin around the hole so that the adhesive rests on sound mesh, and avoid covering more area than necessary, especially across the main field of view.
Remove dust, wax and propolis, allow the mesh to dry, then position the patch without tension. Peel the backing paper away slowly so that the adhesive layer stays attached to the mesh, apply the patch and press firmly around its entire edge.
⚠️ Check before entering the apiary: this is a temporary solution for minor damage and does not replace a veil in good condition. If the patch lifts, the tear reaches a seam, visibility is reduced or any gap remains, replace the mesh or veil before working.
