The thermostat is the part that keeps watch on the generator's temperature; the kit also brings the cable and the gasket you disturb when you change it.
01 · COMPATIBILITY
Only for the 7 L generator
It fits the 7 L professional steam generator (reference BR-64307). It does not fit the 5 L generator, which uses its own controller with thermostat, BR-64407-5.

02 · WHY IT COMES AS A KIT
The gasket goes with the thermostat
Changing the thermostat means opening the generator, and a gasket that has already worked with heat and steam rarely seals the same way again. That is why the kit brings a new gasket: fitting the new thermostat with the old one is asking for a leak.
Make the change with the unit unplugged and cold. If you are not used to electrical connections, have an electrician fit it, and before you go back to work, check with water that nothing drips from the gasket.
