01 · COMPATIBILITY

Six prongs and TO77 opening

Confirm the container finish before filling; the jar volume does not identify the thread size. Discard any deformed lids and glass with dents, dirt, or defects in the area where the sealant makes contact.

02 · THERMAL LIMIT

Pasteurization according to data sheet

Tecnocap declares up to 100 °C for 60 min. Validates food, jar, lid, filling, headspace, torque, and cycle as a system. Sterilization requires other conditions.

03 · HANDLING

Protection until use

Keep lids clean, dry, and free of any material that could bend the rim, between +5 and +35 °C and with a maximum relative humidity of 70%. Maintain lot identification during packaging.

FROM THE APIARY

A Twist-Off does not screw on like a bottle cap: the six lugs ride up a short ramp and the whole closure is a quarter turn. Sit it flat until you feel it settle, turn to the stop and leave it there: carrying on does not seal better, it bends the lug and leaves the jar impossible to open. If it grates or feels like the thread has stripped, lift it off and set it down again — there is no thread to strip, a lug has ridden over its ramp.
