01 · WHAT IT DOES NOT TAKE

The manual forbids oxalic acid

The official Furetto manual expressly forbids using it with oxalic acid, and the ban applies to the whole machine: changing the coil does not lift it. The Furetto is a vaporiser for liquids — petroleum jelly and the like — not a sublimator.

For any varroa treatment, the product and the method have to be those of the authorised veterinary medicine concerned.

02 · BEFORE ORDERING

Confirm the fault is here

Check that connections, burner, pump and tank all work before blaming the coil. A blockage that keeps coming back is not a fault in the part: it points to poor cleaning or to the wrong product.

There are two versions in the catalogue, the standard and a stainless one, and the change is also offered as a fitting service if you would rather not strip it yourself.

03 · FITTING IT

Cold, with no pressure and no forced threads

Switch off, disconnect, let it cool and release the pressure as the manual says. Do not force the threads or score the bore, and run the check the maker specifies before using it again.
