01 · WHAT IT ACTUALLY IS

Panel and energiser in one piece

It is the question we get most, so it goes first: this is not a bare solar panel. The energiser is inside and the 10 W panel is built in, so all you have to do is plug in the harp.

It is the same module that comes inside the complete Tártago harp kit. If you already have the harp, this is what it needs to work.

02 · FIVE HARPS

They chain together, they do not fan out

The 1,500 V output covers up to five harps. They are not wired out in a fan from the module: they are chained one to the next, and that is what the 10 m female/female extension in our catalogue is for.

The panel usually hangs from the first harp, which is what makes the 1.5 m cable enough. If you need it further away — chasing sun — you need a 10 m male/female extension, which is not included.

03 · SAFETY

Off switch and automatic discharge

It has an off switch and automatic discharge of the voltage when switched off, which is what lets you handle the harp without a fright.

Even so the habit does not change: switch it off before touching anything, and site the harp out of reach of children and animals. Fifteen hundred volts do not forgive carelessness, however small the current.

04 · THIS ONE OR THE UNIVERSAL

It depends whether you already have a panel

This one brings its own 10 W panel: set it up and it runs, with nothing else to buy. It is the one to choose if you are starting from scratch.

The universal model costs less but does not include a panel, so it only pays off if you already have one, or if you are going to run it off the mains or a battery.
