Lever punch that clamps to your bench: one press punches the frame side bar straight and to a consistent depth and seats the eyelet in the same move. Far quicker than a hand awl. Punches up to 12 mm; metal stand, wooden handle. Eyelets not included.
Drilling frame holes by hand —one at a time with an awl— is slow and the holes come out crooked. This lever punch clamps to your bench and, with a single press, punches the side bar straight and to a consistent depth and, in the same move, seats the eyelet. You go from fighting each frame to prepping them in batches.
Mounted on its metal stand —with holes to fix it to the bench—, the lever multiplies your force: press the handle and the punch goes through the wood without driving it by hand, and the spring returns it on its own. Because the punch always comes down vertically, the holes come out straight and aligned frame after frame —something a hand drill can't guarantee.
On the same downstroke it punches the side bar and seats the eyelet, leaving the frame ready to wire in one go. Punches up to 12 mm deep, made for side bars up to 12 mm thick. Wooden handle and metal stand. Brass eyelets sold separately.
