Frame width affects basket capacity

These lines move frames to an uncapping machine and then into a horizontal extractor. The S family uses a modular arrangement with frame transport, honey collection and equipment controls.

When comparing S625, S800 and S1000, provide the occupied width of each frame, including its spacer. A wide Hoffman frame takes more length than a narrow frame, so one basket can hold different quantities. The model designation cannot be converted into a fixed number of colonies per operation.

Keep cappings moving without stopping the line

Uncapping material needs its own outlet. The catalogue includes an automatically discharging centrifuge and the DS105 melting separator. They use different processes: centrifuging separates mechanically, while the melter adds heat to melt wax. This affects the route and treatment of recovered honey, which should remain identified with its batch.

Before choosing a configuration, map incoming supers, outgoing empty frames and honey and wax containers. Reserve access to parts removed for cleaning. That full working route determines how effectively an automatic line can be used.
