01 · TWELVE FRAMES AND ONE METRE

But the percentage is not the same in both formats

On half supers, the S800 takes 124 frames of 25 mm and the S1000 136: 9.7 % more. On brood frames the gap widens sharply — 88 against 112, 27 % more — because when the chain opens up for the taller frame, the bigger machine keeps far more capacity.

Translated into a decision: if you mostly work supers, the €2,144.63 difference buys little and the metre you save is worth more. If you are going to run brood frames, the big one is proportionally a much better buy.

02 · SEND A SAMPLE OF YOUR FRAMES

It is the first step of manufacture, not a formality

Like every WET machine, this one is built to the measure of your frames: before anything, you send the maker a real sample of your frame and your super, and with it they set the chain pitch, the bar spacing and the height of the uncapper.

Lead times start when the sample arrives there, not when the order is signed.

03 · SUPER OR BROOD: IT COSTS RHYTHM

Which is why it is decided before manufacture

It can be configured for both formats, with one physical consequence: spacing the chain bars out to accept the taller frame leaves fewer support points and the advance has to be slower.

That is not a fault, it is arithmetic. Volume in three weeks: set it up for supers only. Renewing brood comb or working dark honey: the versatility pays. What you cannot do is decide afterwards.

04 · TWO MODULES CAN COME OUT

And that brings the final price down

The pump with level sensor that fills the settling tank on its own is optional: if you already have pumping, it comes out and is deducted. The same with the cappings melter: if you already handle that with a press or a spinner, it leaves the line and the budget.

The core does not come out: pneumatic frame extractor, uncapper with hot-water heated knives, scratching knife and inverter, and a horizontal centrifuge with heated bottom, pneumatic gate and two-stage emptying.

05 · SIX METRES AND 1,300 KG

The installation, which is what to measure

7.5 kW without the melter, 3 × 400 V with 24 V control, IP 54 protection and a working temperature of 2 to 35 °C. It occupies 600 × 240 cm and weighs 1,300 kg: measure the floor and the access first.

Assembly can be done by the maker's technician or by you with assistance. For the big line the maker puts that visit at about €2,200 plus VAT, so budget something similar and confirm it with the order.
