4 Frames tangential motorized honey extractor by SAF NATURA.
Motorised extraction with a Ø640 mm drum and full Langstroth, Dadant & Layens compatibility: let the motor do the work.
Once your apiary grows past 20–30 hives and you're running different frame sizes, hand-cranking stops being practical — and you know it because your shoulder tells you by day three of the harvest. This tangential extractor from SAF NATURA runs a 200 W ECO motor with an electronic speed controller that lets you dial in the RPM to match honey viscosity and comb fragility, especially useful with fresh wax or first-harvest frames. The acid-resistant stainless steel drum measures a generous 640 mm in diameter and holds 4 full-depth frames (Langstroth, Dadant or Layens) or 8 half-depth supers, giving you real flexibility to match each extraction run to the crop at hand.
The SN_ALIM/EKO controller ramps speed progressively: start slow to protect new wax, then increase once the first layer of honey has been thrown. With thick honeys like heather or chestnut, being able to fine-tune the RPM is the difference between a clean extraction and broken comb the bees will spend weeks rebuilding. Standard 230 V supply — plugs straight into any honey house outlet.
Both the drum wall and conical bottom are made from acid-resistant stainless steel, at 0.6 mm jacket and 0.8 mm base thickness. This matters: honey, propolis and wax residues create an acidic environment that corrodes lesser materials within a few seasons. The conical bottom channels honey by gravity toward the 6/4" plastic flap valve, preventing pooling and ensuring a clean drain between loads.
The 4 mm transparent acrylic lid lets you monitor the frames while spinning without having to stop. It includes a safety interlock that cuts the motor automatically when the lid is lifted — a feature you'll appreciate when your hands are sticky with honey and you're working at pace. This isn't an optional extra: it should be standard on any motorised extractor.
The tangential basket accepts 4 full-depth Langstroth, Dadant or Layens frames, or 8 Dadant half-depth supers. If you run mixed equipment — common when you're building up stock or buying second-hand batches — you don't need a separate extractor for each frame type. Powder-coated steel legs and a reinforcing cross brace keep the unit stable even at full load and high RPM.
