Quarti I15 funnel for topping up frame feeders with syrup in a more controlled way and with less risk of pouring it over frames, bees or hive walls.
Quarti specifies 20 × 8.5 × 6 cm. The elongated mouth, grip tab and eyelet make it easier to position, remove and store.
01 · PURPOSE
Rest the funnel on a frame-feeder opening that can accept its 6 cm thickness and pour slowly. The wide throat supports a steady refill, but it does not make every feeder compatible: check the opening width and make sure the funnel is stable before filling.
02 · CLEANER REFILLING
Prepare only the amount the colony can use for its strength, temperature and objective. Keep the container close, do not fill to the brim and stop if bees enter the pouring area. Clean any spill immediately: exposed syrup can encourage robbing and attract insects.
03 · FEEDING DECISIONS
Assess stores, forage, temperature and supers before providing syrup. Avoid feeding during a commercial honey flow or with supers intended for harvest, as feed can be stored. Position the feeder near the active cluster when the hive setup permits.
04 · CLEANING AND STORAGE
Rinse immediately after use, before syrup dries, and wash with water and a product suitable for food utensils. Rinse well, drain and store fully dry. The manufacturer notes that its 6 cm thickness allows storage in the cover space of many hives; check the available clearance before closing.
05 · BEFORE YOU BUY
