The gas wax melter for frames is a professional device designed to quickly and efficiently melt combs and cappings during honey extraction. Fully built in stainless steel, it offers a robust and durable solution for beekeepers handling large volumes of wax per harvest.
What need does it address in beekeeping?
During honey harvesting, a significant amount of valuable wax remains trapped in combs and cappings. This melter allows beekeepers to quickly recover clean liquid wax from extraction residues, optimizing workflow and minimizing losses.
How does the wax melter work?
The device features a stainless steel tank with a perforated internal basket where frames or cappings are loaded. Heat is provided by an integrated LPG gas burner equipped with a safety thermocouple and a piezoelectric ignition system. Separate valves facilitate draining of wax and water:
• Wax drain valves: 2 units, 40 mm diameter each.
• Water drain valve: 25 mm diameter.
Loading capacities
• Up to 100 Dadant frames.
• Approximately 125–130 Langstroth frames.
• Approximately 95–100 Layens frames.
(Capacity may vary slightly depending on frame arrangement inside the basket.)
Dimensions
• External tank dimensions: 1154 mm × 1154 mm × 830 mm height.
• Internal basket dimensions: 990 mm × 990 mm × 430 mm height.
Technical characteristics
• Material: acid-resistant stainless steel.
• Fuel type: LPG gas.
• Optional equipment: wheels for easier transport.
• Note: the set does not include a gas pressure regulator for the gas bottle.
• Usage conditions: recommended for outdoor use or in very well-ventilated indoor areas.
Practical advantages
• High processing capacity per batch.
• Fast melting speed thanks to direct gas heat.
• Durable, hygienic, and easy-to-clean construction.
• Ideal for large-scale beekeeping operations or cooperatives handling large volumes of frames.
Important: For safe operation, always use the device outdoors or in well-ventilated rooms and install a suitable gas pressure regulator corresponding to the gas source used.
