Pack of ten flexible magnetic digits, 0 to 9 and one of each, for the ANEL hive identifier disc: the number is changed by hand, with no screwdriver and no paint.

Numbering hives is easy; the hard part is changing the number when you unite, split or reorder the row, and that is what the magnet solves.

01 · HOW IT IS USED

On the steel disc, and moved in two seconds

The digits go on the ANEL identifier disc, which is steel and screws to the hive front: they hold by magnet, follow its curve and are moved by hand. They also hold on the galvanised sheet of a roof, but the magnet is thin: out in the open, the safe place is the disc. On aluminium, stainless, wood or polystyrene they do not hold.

02 · THE SUMS

Ten pieces, one of each: count digits, not hives

A pack is one 0, one 1 and so on up to 9. Any repeated digit calls for another pack, and it comes sooner than you think: numbering 1 to 30 takes thirteen ones. Count digits, not hives.

03 · NOT LEGAL MARKING

The apiary registration code goes separately

A digit you can pull off by hand does not count as official marking: each hive carries the apiary registration code in a visible, legible and indelible mark, as your regulations require. This is the internal organisation of the apiary.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY
