Pack of 10 flexible magnetic digits, 0 to 9, for the Anel® circular hive identifier disc — changed by hand, no screwdriver and no paint.

The problem with numbering hives is not putting the number on: it is changing it. In a working apiary you unite two colonies, move a nucleus to another site or reorganise the rows, and the painted or engraved number stops matching. These digits sit on the metal identifier disc, hold by magnet and can be repositioned in two seconds.

🔢 A pack is ten digits — one of each

The pack contains the numbers 0 to 9, one of each. It is worth doing the arithmetic before ordering, because any number with a repeated digit needs more than one pack: 11 takes two ones, 22 takes two twos, and numbering up to 100 will repeat digits many times over. Work out how many hives you want to identify and which specific numbers you will use, not just how many there are.

🧲 They hold by magnet, so they need a metal base

The digits are flexible and magnetic: they stick to the Anel® identifier disc, which is metal, and follow its curve. That is also the compatibility condition — with no ferrous surface to grip, they will not stay put. If your hives are plastic or polystyrene and you have not fitted the disc, these numbers have nowhere to go.

⚠️ Working identification, not legal marking

A digit you can fit and remove by hand is convenient for exactly the reason that makes it useless as an official mark: it can fall off, shift or be swapped. Wherever you keep bees, the holding registration mark required by law has its own rules on legibility and permanence — check what your national or regional legislation requires. These numbers are for your own organisation, telling one hive from another as you work, and do not replace that marking.
