No half super and no super frames. 508 × 424 mm outside, 464 × 380 inside, about 12 kg. For anyone who already has supers or is expanding the apiary with loose brood boxes.

01 · WHAT IT IS
Box, screened floor, crown board and roof; not the super
The 25 mm wooden body with ten wired Dadant US frames of 48 × 30 (48 top bar: 47 Blatt frames rattle), the plastic screened floor with pull-out tray, the crown board and the metal-clad wooden roof. What it does not bring is the half super or its frames: it goes with the supers you already have, or you buy the version with super when needed.
02 · THE SCREENED FLOOR
Ventilates and counts varroa
The floor mesh lets air and fallen varroa through; the tray goes in to count the drop after a treatment and comes out the rest of the year so the mite cannot climb back. In hot, humid climates it is the difference between a box that breathes and one that condenses. It cleans with a pressure washer.
03 · WHAT FITS
All the catalogue’s Dadant US
Dadant US footprint of 508 × 424 with 464 × 380 clear: it stacks with the catalogue’s Dadant US half supers, crown boards, roof feeders and excluders, and the frames are the 48 × 30 usual in Spain. It is fixed-site, with no legs or migratory handles: to move it, folding catches and straps.
04 · BEFORE POPULATING
Paint outside, wax inside
The wood arrives untreated: two coats of hive-safe paint or oil outside and none inside. The frames are wired without foundation: Dadant US brood foundation comes separately, or drawn frames from another hive to start a nuc.
05 · BEFORE YOU BUY
The box is supplied with its ten wired frames, screened floor, crown board and roof; half super, foundation and paint come separately.
