01 · WITHOUT SUN

The battery covers the hours the panel cannot

A solar module without a battery converts whatever the panel produces at each moment: at night it gives no current, and under heavy cloud it gives less. This one stores the energy in its lithium batteries. According to the manufacturer, it supplies current from early morning until late afternoon and can keep it up for several days without sun.

02 · WHICH ONE TO CHOOSE

When the battery is worth it

It pays off where the panel does not get sun all day: morning fog, slopes that fall into shade in the afternoon, or runs of cloudy days. If the harp gets sun for most of the day, the 15 W module without battery is usually enough, because the hornet hunts by day, when the panel has light. And if you already have a socket or your own battery at the apiary, the universal module runs on USB and makes use of what is there.

03 · INSTALLATION

The same connector as the other modules

The cable ends in the same moisture-proof connector used by the other Tártago modules and plugs into the harp's input. Face the panel south with no shade over it: the battery only stores what the panel manages to charge, and a shaded panel will not fill it.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

This is the electric module, without the harp, and it works with Tártago harps. Disconnect it before handling the harp, as with any energiser.
