Kitchen scale for different uses in beekeeping.
Industrial bench scale, 15 kg with a 1 gram division, stainless steel pan and IP-67 protection, with a dual display and an audible alert when the set weight is reached.
The figure a honey-house scale shows can end up on a label. And at that point it stops being about convenience: it becomes what the customer is buying and what an inspection can check.
01 · IF THE WEIGHT GOES ON A LABEL
Instruments used to determine the quantity of a prepackaged product for sale fall under legal metrological control: type approval and periodic verification. That is not the same as an industrial process scale.
For what most people actually want it for — checking fills, weighing goods in, reconciling batches — this scale is more than enough. If the figure it shows is going to be printed on the jar you sell, that check belongs before the decision.
02 · HOW FAR IT GOES
A full 1 kg jar weighs about 1.43 kg between glass and honey, so ten fit comfortably. A 25 kg bucket does not, and not only on weight: it will not sit on a 225 × 185 mm pan either.
The 12.5 kg one does, with room. That is the first sum to do, because it decides whether this scale covers your packing or only the small end of it.
03 · THE LIMIT ALERT
The limit function holds the target weight and warns — with light and sound — when the load is in range. That turns filling into a repeatable movement at 200 g, 500 g or 1 kg, instead of a reading to be checked every time.
The dual display works the same way: the reading is visible from both sides, and in a loose sale that halves the explaining.
04 · IN THE HONEY HOUSE
The stainless steel pan and the IP-67 rating are what let you clean it properly between batches, which in a honey house is not a detail.
The internal battery gives 30 to 60 hours, so it does not depend on a socket nearby, and the working range of -10 to +40 °C covers a cold shed in January. If what you weigh moves, the electronic filter steadies the reading.
05 · BEFORE YOU BUY
The two questions are the weight ceiling and whether the figure ends up on a sales label.

| ✕ DOESN'T FIT | For 25 kg buckets: neither the weight nor the pan size. |
| ⚠ NOT INCLUDED | Metrological verification. If the weight goes on a sales label, check that first. |
