01 · THE SEAL
It seals the head, not the tap
The Mupuseal works inside the dosing assembly. A tired seal shows up as dripping between jars long before it shows up as a puddle: if the machine starts leaving a thread, this is the first part to look at, ahead of the cut-off valve and the diaphragm.
02 · CHANGING IT
Seal and O-ring go together
It comes with its O-ring and the two are replaced at the same time: reusing an old O-ring on a new seal leaves you the same problem wearing a different face. Fit it clean, with no crystallised honey left in the seat, which is what stops it bedding in properly.
After the change, check several doses in a row before calling the shift good.
