A 33/42 (1¼ in) plastic locknut for securing a compatible tap from inside a tank or drum that has no integral threaded socket.
It is used where the container has a plain opening and the threaded tap body passes through the wall. The nut clamps the assembly from inside; it is not a complete tap and does not replace the sealing gasket.
01 · PURPOSE
Pass the threaded tap body through from the outside and screw the nut on internally until the fitting is held evenly. This mechanical retention stops the tap turning or pulling out of its mounting during use. Tighten without distorting the wall or overloading the plastic thread; excessive torque can damage the component or the vessel.
02 · COMPATIBILITY AND SEALING
The nut is nominal size 33/42, equivalent to 1¼ in. Check the tap's male thread, access to the inside face and the container wall thickness. A watertight joint depends on a compatible gasket seated on a clean, flat surface; this nut provides retention but neither includes nor replaces that seal.
03 · BEFORE BUYING
You need a tap with a matching male thread and a container prepared with a suitable opening. Verify the size from documentation or a known component rather than the approximate diameter alone. One plastic locknut is supplied. Tap, gasket, tank, tools and drilling template are not included.
