Sliding honey gate with a 1" nominal 33/42 connection for drawing honey from a compatible bucket, settling tank or storage vessel. The threaded body passes through the vessel wall and is secured with the supplied hexagonal nut and seal: a simple solution when you need a discharge point without welding or metal fittings.
Raise the gate to let the honey flow and lower it again to stop the stream. Dense honey can always leave a residual film: keeping the slide parallel, the closing surfaces clean and the seal in good condition helps reduce drips between fills.
The 1" / 33-42 designation identifies the connection, but it does not replace measuring the hole, wall thickness and internal clearance for tightening the nut. The seal must lie flat, without burrs or deformation. Tighten only until sealed, without stressing the plastic.
Remove the nut and seal to clear crystallised honey from the contact surfaces. Wash without abrasives, rinse and leave to dry before the next batch. If the slide becomes stiff, first check for wax deposits, crystals or a displaced seal.
