Details of 10L White Plastic Bucket

A 10-litre food-grade polypropylene bucket with a folding handle and a press-on lid that locks by a tab of the same material.

It is the working container of the honey house: full of honey it goes over 14 kg, so the handle and the closure matter more than the price.

01 · CLOSURE

A tab closure, not a screw thread

The lid presses on and is held by a tab moulded into the polypropylene itself — no gasket to lose, no thread to strip. It closes well and takes stacking, but it is a closure meant to be opened with a lever: from the second or third bucket on, prising it off by hand or with a screwdriver leaves lids deformed and no longer seating. Store the lids of empty buckets with no weight on them: they go oval with next to nothing.

02 · TRANSPORT

Certified for transport

It is approved to the ADR, UN, IMDG and OACI standards, which cover road, sea and air transport. In practice that certifies the container as leak-tight and sturdy enough to travel full, which is what carriers ask for if you move product by freight. It measures 256 mm across by 271 mm tall, so it fills a euro pallet without wasting space.
