Replacement inner gasket for 1½"honey taps. It fits into the inner recess of the tap to restore proper contact between the parts when the original gasket has become deformed, hardened or lost. This is a specific inner gasket: do not confuse it with a flat outer gasket or select it from the apparent diameter alone.
The 1½" specification is the tap’s nominal size. Compare it with the size marked on your valve, as well as the gasket profile and the shape of the recess. Two taps with similar outlets may use different gaskets.
Remove the old gasket, clean the groove and clear away any crystallised honey or wax residue. Seat the replacement evenly, without twisting it, and reassemble the tap without forcing the parts. Then test the closure with water before filling the container with honey.
