Heavy metal base with adjustable clamp for SCHLEY or HARBO syringe.
Heavy metal base with a methacrylate clamp to hold the syringe during instrumental insemination.
In this work, the weight is the function. When the useful travel is measured in microns, any movement of the syringe ruins the deposit. A heavy base is not a finishing touch: it is what absorbs the tremor and what leaves both hands free.
01 · THE WEIGHT IS THE FUNCTION
The structure comes inclined, so the syringe sits at the working angle without having to be held there. Over long sessions, holding a particular angle by hand is the first thing to go.
The clamp is methacrylate with a side screw: it grips just enough not to move and does not mark the body of the syringe, which is delicate and expensive. The adjustment is fine, not brute clamping.
02 · SCHLEY AND HARBO 2.0
It takes both the SCHLEY syringe and the HARBO-Syringe 2.0, which come from two different schools of instrument. Anyone working with either can use this base without adapters.
It is the piece that tends to be missing from an improvised setup: the rest of the kit gets bought by system — hooks, capillaries, tips — and the holding ends up solved with whatever is to hand. This solves it once.
03 · BEFORE YOU BUY
The accessory that steadies everything else.
