When you’re truly doing migratory beekeeping, you don’t need a pretty hive — you need one that won’t let you down. This fixed Langstroth hive was designed with that in mind: efficient transport, durability, and practical handling.

Made from 22 mm thick Galician pine wood and treated with linseed oil, it resists moisture while allowing the wood to breathe — a small detail that makes a big difference on long hauls or in humid areas.

The brood chamber is permanently joined to the bottom board, forming a solid unit with no latches or separate parts. This reduces vibrations in transport and makes loading with a forklift or hand truck much easier. The hive has no landing board, so it fits snugly on load supports without catching or damaging.

It comes with two lower entrances (metal) and an upper entrance on the super, ideal for pollen traps or improved ventilation during peak nectar flow.

The wooden perimeter slats on the brood box and super provide structural reinforcement and act as a stabilizing edge, so the boxes stack perfectly without shifting, even on bumpy roads. They also make it easier to grip and move with tools or by hand.

Includes 10 wired Hoffman frames in the brood box and 10 in the super. Frames come untensioned, so you can tension and wax them to your own specifications — ideal for those who want full control over wax quality and tension.

The top cover is wooden, wrapped in galvanized metal for long-term protection from sun and rain. The special inner cover is made for migratory setups, offering better insulation and vibration resistance.
