This Apifonda box contains 12 x 1 kg bags of ready-to-use bee sugar paste for direct placement in the hive. It is the practical format when you do not want a pallet or larger bags: you can work hive by hive, nuc by nuc, and adjust feeding without leaving open food exposed. It suits late-winter support, early winter preparation, nectar gaps or occasional support for colonies short of stores.

📦 1 kg bag: finer control per hive

The 1 kg bag gives more control than a large block. It works well for nucs, smaller colonies, regular inspections or apiaries where you want to see which colony is taking feed and which is not. It also avoids opening more feed than needed on quick working days.

🍯 Ready energy paste, no syrup mixing

Apifonda is a sugar paste for energy feeding. Its sucrose microcrystals coated in syrup let bees take it directly, without mixing, heating or carrying liquid syrup. It is not a protein patty: if pollen is lacking, that nutritional gap needs to be handled separately.

💡 Place it close to the active area

To use it, cut the bag and place it over the frames, over the crown board feed hole or wherever bees have real access. In cold weather, position matters: if it sits too far from the cluster, it may be consumed too slowly even when the colony needs stores.

⚠️ Feed after checking stores, not by habit

Use it when hive weight, inspection or lack of nectar flow justifies it. Energy feeding does not replace health checks or varroa control, and it should be managed outside commercial honey harvest periods or with suitable handling to avoid adulteration.
