BJ SHERRIFF
BJ Sherriff makes in Cornwall the beekeeping suits with the round veil — the one that holds its own shape and never rests on your face. We carry the Apiarist (€239.63), the Honey Rustler (€197.52), trousers, replacement veil and the children's size, plus the QueenSafe bag.

More information about BJ SHERRIFF
The round veil, which is what this is all about
What sets a Sherriff apart is not the cloth, it is that the veil holds itself away from your face. A veil resting on your nose or forehead is a veil you get stung through, and it is why people end up buying a second suit. It is also why the veil is sold as a replacement (€74.38): the part that wears out is the veil, not the suit.
Apiarist or Honey Rustler
The Apiarist (€239.63) is the full one-piece suit with integrated veil. The Honey Rustler (€197.52) is the jacket with veil: waist up, paired with the trousers (€81.82). The jacket wins on heat and on being able to get out of it fast; the full suit wins because there is no join for anything to get through. Hours in summer heat: the jacket. Defensive colonies: the full suit.
Sizing, and the children's version
We also carry the children's two-piece (€74.30), which is not just a small adult suit: the veil proportion changes, and on a child that matters more than on an adult. Measure before buying for a beginner — a suit that is too big is as bad as one too small.
The QueenSafe bag
The QueenSafe (€39.26) is for carrying and handling queens without losing one on opening. Not a suit accessory, but one of those things you only buy after losing a queen once.
