Api-Bioxal powder or solution

Api-Bioxal powder has separate instructions for trickling and vaporisation. The 44.2 mg/ml solution is applied by trickling and must not be put into a vaporiser. Sharing oxalic acid as an active substance does not make the formulations interchangeable.

The current powder formulation contains no sugar, so it does not caramelise or clog the vaporiser: it works in any electrically heated vaporiser, InstantVap included. For vaporisation, the Spanish product information specifies 2 g per colony in a single administration, with one treatment per year, using an electrically heated device in accordance with its manufacturer’s instructions. This dose refers to Api-Bioxal powder, not a prepared trickling mixture.

Brood and harvest conditions affect selection

Api-Bioxal product information warns that oxalic acid does not reach mites inside sealed brood and that brood presence may reduce efficacy. These formulations must not be used with supers in place or during honey production. Plan treatment around those conditions; a zero-day withdrawal period is not permission to harvest during application.

Micostop and AlveisClean serve other purposes

Micostop is a liquid supplementary feed mixed into syrup. It is not a medicine for treating fungal brood diseases. AlveisClean is a detergent for removing wax and propolis from equipment, with its own dilution and protective measures. Keep feed preparation, medicine application and cleaning separate.
