EasyCheck: compare visits using the same method

Varroa EasyCheck samples adult bees using a wash, icing sugar or CO₂. The result depends on the method and sample collection; it does not count all mites in the colony, including those within sealed brood.

A wash kills the sampled bees. With every method, avoid collecting the queen and record sample size, date and method so that visits can be compared. The CO₂ injector and gas are additional items; the container alone does not provide them.

Oxybee: preparation for trickling in broodless colonies

Oxybee is prepared by mixing 750 g of solution with both 125 g sachets, producing 1 kg of dispersion, equivalent to 888 ml. It is trickled onto broodless colonies, with a maximum dose of 54 ml per colony. The pack does not cover a fixed number of colonies: calculate the amount from the bee-occupied spaces between frames.

Do not put it into a vaporiser. Check its leaflet for application, storage and harvesting conditions before mixing.

VespaCatch Select: adjustable entrance and small-insect exits

VespaCatch Select adds an adjustable entrance and exits for small insects. These features are intended to improve selectivity compared with a conventional cup trap. Check catches and settings during use: “selective” does not guarantee that no other species will enter.
