Details of Nuc Super APIDEA®

Genuine APIDEA® brood super for expanding an APIDEA mating hive when the queen has started laying and temporary extra space is needed. It fits between the mating-hive body and roof and holds five APIDEA mini frames. It is not a conventional honey super and does not turn the mini mating hive into a production hive.

⚠️ Frames and feeder not included

The product is the super body only. The five required frames and the APIDEA feeder super are separate components. Check the equipment you already have before completing the set.

👑 More room once brood appears

The additional body allows the colony to occupy five more frames and provides some latitude for holding a mated queen temporarily without immediately filling the original space. This extra room does not remove the need for inspections: stores, population, laying pattern, temperature and available space must be monitored, and transfer or expansion must be decided in good time. If the colony does not yet cover its basic volume properly, adding space may make temperature control harder; wait until population and brood genuinely justify the upper brood module.

🔧 Assembly on the APIDEA system

Remove the roof, seat the super without leaving steps or gaps and check that the unit is stable. Fit the system's own frames in the correct orientation. If you also use the top feeder, make sure each module bears continuously and the bees' access remains open.

📐 System-specific compatibility

Designed for the APIDEA mating hive, including the blue model in the same system. It does not accept Langstroth or Dadant frames, nor mini mating hives of other geometries. The official module dimensions are 24 × 15 × 12.8 cm.
