Clear tube for picking a queen off the comb and moving her a short distance without holding her between your fingers.

It is a handling tool: used for a few seconds and emptied. It is not a cage for keeping or shipping queens.

01 · THE MANOEUVRE

Guide her, do not push her

· Bring the wide opening close and leave room for the queen to walk in.

· Close the tube, checking that no leg, wing or part of the abdomen is caught.

· At the destination, take off the cap and give only a gentle puff from the far end. Never a hard blast.

02 · WHERE IT FITS

Find her, catch her, and on to the destination

Almost everything you do with a queen — marking her, introducing her to another colony, caging her to stop the laying — starts with getting her off the comb undamaged. The tube covers that step and only that: from the comb to the cage, the marker or the destination frame.

The clear body lets you follow where she is the whole time, which is what keeps you from working blind.

03 · BEFORE YOU BUY

Keep the operation short, in the shade, and over the frame or inside an enclosed space, so you can recover her if she comes out sooner than planned.
