Electric Smoker

When you walk into the apiary with a lot to do, the last thing you want is pumping a bellows nonstop. This electric smoker does the opposite: you focus on brood, frames, and supers, and the fan keeps the draft steady so the smoke stays consistent, without annoying drop-offs.

The setup is straightforward and practical: the body is 304 stainless steel (heat-resistant and built to last), and the handle has an automatic fan you trigger with a button. That airflow replaces the manual bellows: it feeds the burn and stabilizes the smoke, which is what actually helps keep bees calm while you work.

Important power note so nobody gets it wrong: it uses 3 rechargeable Li-Ion 18650 batteries (NOT included). These are the larger flashlight-style cylinders: 18 mm diameter and 65 mm length. They are not AA batteries, even if they look similar at a glance. Using AA cells, odd adapters, or the wrong batteries can mean incorrect voltage, poor performance, and it can damage the unit.

• Use quality 18650 Li-Ion cells, ideally protected, and don’t mix brands/capacities in the same set.

• Charging is via micro-USB, easy with a power bank on the go.

Like any smoker, it doesn’t light the fuel for you: you ignite your material (dry pine cones, clean cardboard, burlap, dry herbs), and the fan keeps the smoke flowing. Clean ash and sticky buildup now and then and you’ll keep the draft strong with cooler, cleaner smoke.

Balanced size in hand: 29 cm tall and Ø 13 cm, enough chamber to work comfortably without carrying a bulky smoker.
