Empty 0.6 oz (about 17 ml) replacement tank for the Apisolis Origin vaporiser (1533), in the updated-material version the maker recommends for the Native Nova formula. It swaps in seconds when the tank cracks with use or runs dry mid-round, and Apisolis advises one tank per formula, without mixing Polaris and Nova. Made in France.
A tank is not just a spare: with two, one per formula, you switch liquid without contaminating, and with a third you relieve the empty one mid-apiary.
01 · WHAT CHANGED
Sturdier material, designed for Nova
Apisolis redesigned the tank material after field complaints: the current tank stands continuous work better, without microcracks or warping, and is the one the maker recommends for the Native Nova formula, the patented one with four active molecules. It works just as well with Native Polaris, the plant-based formula for routine inspections; both vaporise at 35 °C with no combustion or smoke.
02 · ONE PER FORMULA
Polaris in one tank, Nova in another
Apisolis asks for a tank dedicated to each formula and no mixing, to keep each one’s efficacy. Polaris for docile colonies and routine visits; Nova for defensive colonies, according to the maker. With two tanks you switch formula at the apiary itself; with a spare, you relieve the empty one without stopping.
03 · HOW FAR IT GOES
About 40 hives per fill
It ships empty and is filled with Native liquid (1534). With about 17 ml and a consumption of roughly 0.4 ml per hive, one fill covers around 40 hives, by Apisolis’s figures. The heating element (1535) is the kit’s other consumable: changed two or three times a year and soaked in Native before fitting.
