Details of Premium smoker bellows

Reinforced version of our standard 4-fixing-point bellows, built with denser materials and proper fire resistance. Designed for beekeepers who spend many hours of the season smoking colonies and especially for users of the FAP5012AF spark-arrestor smoker, where sustained heat degrades standard synthetic leather faster. Same dimensions (19 × 12 cm) and same fixing pattern as the regular bellows, so it fits the same smokers.

🔧 Higher-density wood — marine birch plywood

Boards in marine birch plywood instead of the melamine-coated chipboard of the standard bellows. Birch has higher density and more stable fibres: it does not swell with morning dew at the apiary, it copes better with heat/humidity cycles, and it holds its fastenings firm through thousands of pumps over a professional season. Where chipboard starts to move at the staples after 2-3 years, birch keeps the fixing solid.

🔥 Premium synthetic leather with high fire resistance

Premium synthetic leather with fire-resistance treatment, instead of the standard synthetic leather of the regular model. This is the key difference when paired with the FAP5012AF spark-arrestor: even though the bellows is not in direct contact with the combustion, the radiant heat of a smoker working 6-8 hours straight on a long inspection breaks down standard leather much sooner. The treated leather holds up without cracking or losing its elasticity.

⚙️ 1.5 L of air per pump — even flow

Each full pump pushes approximately 1.5 litres of air into the combustion chamber. The volume is generous for the size of the bellows and, more importantly, the airflow is even: careful manufacturing avoids the pressure peaks and gaps that force you to pump twice as often with cheaper bellows just to keep an ember alive. The result: faster lighting, fewer refills and more stable smoke during the inspection.

📐 Reinforced PVC trim — sealing, grip and universal compatibility

Reinforced, heat-resistant PVC profile on both faces of the bellows. It has two jobs: it seals the stitching so it does not loosen across cycles, and it provides a comfortable, grippy contact area for the thumb during pumping, keeping your hand from slipping after many hours. Because it keeps the same dimensions (19 × 12 cm) and the same 4-fixing pattern as the regular bellows, it is plug-and-play on the same smokers: FAP5012 with protection cage, FAP5012AF spark-arrestor, FAP5017 XXL and any modern European smoker with a 4-point fixing system.
