01 · WHAT CHANGES

Marine birch and fire-resistant leather versus standard

The standard bellows (325) has melamine chipboard and ordinary synthetic leather: it does the job, but apiary dew swells the chipboard, the staples loosen and the radiant heat of a smoker working for hours cracks the leather. Here the board is marine birch plywood, denser and stable through damp and heat cycles, and the leather is fire-treated: it holds without cracking or losing elasticity. It is the bellows the FAP5012AF spark arrestor asks for, where most heat arrives.

02 · THE PUFF

1.5 L per pump and even flow

Each full pump moves around 1.5 litres of air into the chamber, according to the maker, and does so evenly: none of the pressure peaks and gaps of cheap bellows, which make you pump twice as much to keep the embers going. It lights sooner, needs less refilling and the smoke stays steady through the inspection. The reinforced PVC trim seals the seam so it does not loosen with opening cycles and gives the thumb grip.

03 · WHERE IT FITS

European 19 × 12 format with four points

Same size and same four-point pattern as the standard bellows 325: it fits without adapting the FAP5012 with guard (26), the FAP5012AF spark arrestor (23), the FAP5017 XXL (145) and current European four-point smokers. Before ordering, measure height, width and holes on the old bellows: smokers that came with a plastic bellows use 1448, which is not interchangeable.

The bellows is supplied alone; smoker, fuel (999) and bottom grate (1441) come separately.
