01 · IS IT MINE?
What decides it is the board and the fixings
It is the spare for the Lyson 4036_P stainless smoker. If yours is another one, measure the board and count the fixings: older models come with two or three where current ones come with four. The FAP smokers in our catalogue take a different bellows.
02 · WHY YOU REPLACE IT
The body lasts; the bellows is the part that wears out
Stainless steel takes season after season and the bellows does not: it splits along the fold or the board works loose at the staples, and the smoke comes out weak. At that point changing the bellows is enough. The metal sets the limit: a chamber burnt through means a new smoker.
03 · THE MATERIAL
The edge band is what decides how long a bellows lasts
Lyson fits a material here that resists wear and abrasion, plus a reinforcing edge band over the joint with the board — which is exactly where a cheap bellows opens up first. Plywood with the logo, made in Poland.
04 · BEFORE YOU BUY
Fit it with the smoker out and cold and tighten the fixings crosswise. Check that it opens and closes fully: a pinched bellows moves less air than the old one.
