Lyson stainless steel smoker, 31 cm high, with a perforated fire chamber, an inner grid that keeps the embers off the cone and a Premium synthetic-canvas bellows with a plastic reinforcing band: the bellows follows the design of the Fogués smokers of Carcaixent, whose machinery Lyson acquired, according to the maker. Made in Poland; 1 kg.
What wears out on a smoker is the bellows: synthetic canvas that does not crack or soak, on a stainless body that does not rust.
01 · THE PUFF
Perforated chamber and a grid that keeps the embers off
The side perforations of the chamber and the redesigned air path give dense, steady smoke from the first squeeze, without pumping non-stop. The inner grid keeps the embers off the cone: fewer sparks out of the nozzle and more peace of mind near frames with new wax. Dry fuel in layers, and the smoker lights and lasts the visit.
02 · THE BELLOWS
Premium synthetic canvas: tear, water and a cloth
The Premium synthetic canvas resists tearing and abrasion, repels water, so a downpour at the apiary does not stop it, and wipes clean with a damp cloth. The plastic band around the edge reinforces the join with the boards and keeps the bellows tension season after season, where cheap leathers and canvases crack by the second.
03 · THE BODY
31 cm stainless, made in Poland
Stainless steel chamber and lid that do not rust with damp soot or when left outside; 31 cm high for a medium apiary visit. Made entirely in Poland by Lyson. The house fuel (999) and the tool box 158 ride along in the car.
