Details of Torch lighter for beekeepers
The VIP Honest blowtorch concentrates the flame to light smoker fuel even when a conventional flame is blown out by the breeze. It is refillable, adjustable and supplied without gas; its compact format fits into inspection equipment without relying on damp matches or soft-flame lighters.
🔥 Light the fuel; do not heat the smoker
Start with a low setting, point the nozzle away from your face and apply the flame to a small quantity of loose fuel. Once an ember is established, remove the torch and use the bellows until the smoke is white and cool. Holding the jet on metal, paint or tightly packed fuel for too long merely adds heat and consumes gas.
⚠️ Refill and transport only when cold
Refill it like a gas lighter, following the fuel container instructions and well away from any flame. Wait for it to cool before storage, fit the nozzle guard and do not leave it in a sunlit vehicle. If you smell gas, do not ignite it: ventilate the area and check the valve.
