Replacement smoker bellows in melamine-faced board, synthetic leather and stapled PVC edging, 19 × 12 cm and with the four fixing holes of the European format: you change the bellows and the rest of the smoker carries on.
The bellows is the part of the smoker that wears out. Replacing it costs a fraction of a new smoker and gives back the first-day puff.
01 · WHEN IT IS TIME
Open seam, loose board or weak puff
Three signs, and one is enough: the leather cracks or the seam opens; the board rocks in the staples; or however hard you pump, no firm puffs come out. The melamine board withstands the heat of the body, the synthetic leather does not craze like real leather and the PVC edging keeps the seam airtight. One review fitted it to a sixty-year-old smoker.
02 · THE FIT
Four symmetrical holes on 19 × 12 cm: measure yours
The four holes match today’s European smokers, including our FAP5012, the FAP5012AF spark arrestor and the FAP5017 XXL. Look at yours before ordering: very old ones have two or three fixing points or a board of another size, and this one does not fit.
03 · FITTING IT
With the old screws, in the same position
Unscrew the worn bellows, offer up the new one with the air hole against the mouth of the body and screw it on with the old screws, which are not included. The side staples close the leather: do not remove them.
04 · BEFORE YOU BUY
The bellows alone is sold; screws, body and lid are those of your smoker.
