Spark guard in perforated stainless steel, 85 mm inside diameter and 185 tall, with perforated lid and raised base: the embers burn inside the cup and sparks must pass two walls before the spout. It cuts sparks, it does not remove them; it wants loose fuel and more bellows. For chambers over 85 mm and 19 cm; in 10 cm bodies, the small one.

Details of Stainless steel anti-spark liner for bee smokers

Stainless-steel spark guard for the inside of the smoker: perforated cylinder of 85 mm inside diameter, 153 inside height and 185 overall, with a perforated lid and a raised base that leaves an air chamber under the embers.

The embers go inside the cup, not against the wall: sparks have to get through two perforated walls before leaving the spout, and the bellows air comes in from below.

01 · WHAT IT DOES

A second barrier for sparks, and air from below

The bellows push air in through the base; if the fuel sits on the bottom, it blocks it and the fire chokes. The raised base keeps that chamber free and the embers burn inside the stainless cup with the perforated lid on top: a spark has to pass wall and lid before the spout. It cuts sparks a lot; it does not remove them all, as one review reminds.

02 · WHY IT DRAWS LESS

More barrier, looser fuel

Two reviews agree: no sparks, but you pump more often. With one more barrier, load loose and unpacked, dry long-fibre fuel, and do not fill to the lid. Ash and tar clog the holes: scrape the lid every few sessions.

03 · WHICH SMOKER IT FITS

Measure the chamber: over 85 mm and 19 cm to the lid

You need a chamber with over 85 mm free and about 19 cm to the closed lid: in the 115 mm, 23 cm stainless smoker it fits with room. For 10 cm bodies and compact smokers there is the small guard, 75 × 145. Measure before ordering.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

Spark guard is not fireproof: water to hand, and put it out completely before transporting.

✓ FITSWide-chamber smokers (over 85 mm and 19 cm tall) in summer, in woodland or on fire-restriction days.
✕ DOESN’T FIT10 cm bodies or compact smokers: the small 75 × 145 one. And anyone expecting zero sparks: it reduces, it does not remove.
