Details of Gasket for Sublimox vaporizer cup
3.4 cm rubber gasket for the PTFE cup of the Sublimox sublimator, in both versions, Standard and Flip top. It is the consumable that seals the cup against the head and the one to change when it hardens or cuts; worth having to hand every time the cup is unscrewed.
The cup unscrews by hand and the gasket comes with it: a hardened gasket leaves the cup badly seated even if it looks whole, and that is where vapour escapes.
01 · WHEN TO CHANGE IT
Cuts, flat spots or hard rubber
It works between the head at 180-185 °C and the PTFE cup, and heat cycles take its elasticity. Change it if it shows cuts, flattened areas, hardening or deformation, and whenever the cup no longer seats evenly all round. Every time the PTFE cup is replaced is a good moment to look at the gasket.
02 · HOW TO CHANGE IT
With the Sublimox unplugged and cold
Unplug the unit, wait for it to cool completely and unscrew the cup by hand. Clean the seat without scratching it, fit the new gasket without twisting or pinching, check the whole perimeter and screw the cup back on. No tools and no force: the thread is PTFE.
03 · FOR WHICH UNIT
Sublimox Standard and Flip top; not Varrox or InstantVap
It is the gasket of the 220 V Sublimox in both configurations, the Standard and the Flip top swing-lid one, which share head and cup. It does not fit the Varrox or the InstantVaps, which use other parts. A new gasket changes nothing else: registered veterinary medicine, respiratory protection and the unit’s manual.
04 · BEFORE YOU BUY
One gasket is supplied; the PTFE cup is 1909 and the Flip top kit is 2467.
