PTFE (teflon) replacement cup for the Sublimox oxalic acid sublimator — the part where you load the crystals that vaporise when the head heats up. It is a consumable: carbonised residue from previous treatments and micro-pits from overheating eventually degrade the non-stick surface. Screw-on replacement, no tools needed.

🌡️ Why PTFE — and why it wears out

PTFE stands up to the sublimation temperature of oxalic acid (≈ 157 °C) without decomposing and, crucially, does not react with the acid. A metal or ceramic cup would be attacked by the residue. But PTFE has a limit: past 260 °C it starts to degrade. If the sublimator is heated empty, the non-stick surface pits and loses effectiveness. That is why the cup is considered a consumable — every 100-200 treatments, or when you see baked-on residue that will not wipe off with a dry cloth, time to replace.

🔧 Installation — hand-screwed, no tools

The cup is screwed into the head of the Sublimox. With the device cold and unplugged, unscrew it by hand and fit the new one. No tools needed. Check the state of the rubber gasket (ref. JUNTA-SUBLIMOX) while you are at it — if cracked or deformed, replace that too: it is cheap and prevents vapour leaks during treatment.

📐 Compatibility — Sublimox original only

Exclusive replacement for the Sublimox sublimator. Does not fit other sublimators on the market (Varrox Eddy, Oxalika, InstantVap, etc.) — every brand uses its own head geometry. If you have a non-Sublimox sublimator, find the brand-specific replacement.
