ABEK1 Multi-Gas Filter X703 Oxyline (1 Pair)

01 · WHAT IT RETAINS

ABEK1: four families, up to 0.1 %

A (brown), organic vapours with a boiling point above 65 °C; B (grey), inorganic except carbon monoxide; E (yellow), sulphur dioxide and acid vapours; K (green), ammonia and derivatives. Class 1: concentrations up to 0.1 % by volume, the usual when sublimating or working outdoors. For oxalic and formic the E and the A do the work; the other two are margin. It supplies no oxygen: never in spaces below 19.5 % or with unknown gases.

02 · WHERE IT MOUNTS

Oxyline bayonet: X6, X7 and X8; not Rd40

It fits straight onto the mask by bayonet, one filter each side, on the X6/X7 half masks and the X8 full-face mask (3175); the rearward-tilting design clears the field of view. For oxalic dust when loading the sublimator, the P3 pre-filter X7N13 (3176) goes on top with the X501 connector (3178). It does not fit Rd40 threaded masks: their spare is 689.

03 · WHEN TO CHANGE IT

When you smell through the mask; five years in its packaging

Activated carbon runs out without any visible warning: the sign is smelling through the mask with a good seal. Then both are changed. Unopened, in the original packaging, they last five years from manufacture; store between -20 and +30 °C, humidity below 80 %, with no pre-filter mounted. Each filter weighs 105 g.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

Two filters are supplied, one pair; the P3 pre-filter X7N13 and the X501 connector come separately, and the set 3173 already includes its own.
