230 °C STABLE TEMPERATURE | 20-25 s PER 2 G |
40-50 HIVES ON 4 AH | 1-4 g ADJUSTABLE DISPENSER |
Tool-battery vaporiser that treats a hive in twenty seconds and recovers in another fifteen.
It runs on the 18 or 20 V batteries you already have in the workshop — twelve brand adapters, and you pick yours at checkout. No cables, no car battery to carry and no generator: you step out of the vehicle with the unit and a battery in your pocket.
01 · PERFORMANCE
It sublimes 2 g in 20-25 seconds at 250 W, and between hives it recovers temperature in 15-30 seconds — about the time it takes you to close one up and position yourself at the next. Thermal control holds a steady 230 °C, which is what stops the acid degrading from excess heat and losing efficacy.
02 · BATTERY
It takes 18 or 20 V power-tool batteries through an adapter: Makita, DeWalt, Bosch, Metabo, Milwaukee, Einhell, Parkside, AEG/Ridgid, Hikoki/Hitachi, Ferrex/Activ Energy, Black+Decker y LUX-Tools. On 4-5 Ah you treat between 40 and 50 hives once it is up to heat. Below 4 Ah you fall short on a serious day; on a large apiary fit 8-9 Ah and forget about swapping. The adapter is chosen from the dropdown when you add it to the basket.
03 · DOSING
It carries an adjustable 1 to 4 g dispenser that changes with no screwdriver and no loose parts: you set the dose at the start of the day and never touch it again. The usual reference is 2 g per hive, and on very strong colonies you can go up to 2.5-3 g without overdoing it. The 6 mm brass nozzle goes in through the entrance: just enough to release the vapour inside without disturbing the bees.
04 · BUILD AND CLEANING
A stainless steel body and a brass nozzle, which is what stands up to the acidic environment of sublimation season after season. The bowl and the nozzle pick up residue on every dose: clean them cold at the end of the day and check the outlet is clear before storing. The O-rings supplied with the unit are fitted on the dispenser.
05 · BEFORE YOU BUY
The battery adapter is chosen at checkout according to the tool brand you use: pick the wrong one and the battery will not fit. Battery and charger are not included. Sublimation must be done with a veterinary medicine authorised for that route in your country.
| ✓ FITS | 18 or 20 V batteries from twelve tool brands, with the adapter you choose at checkout. |
| ✕ DOESN'T FIT | 12 V car-battery supply or direct mains connection. |
| ⚠ NOT INCLUDED | The battery, the charger, the medicine or the respiratory protective equipment, which is essential. |
⚠ PRECAUTIONS
Sublimation vapour is irritant and corrosive to the airways and the eyes. Work with proper respiratory protection, goggles and gloves, stand with your back to the wind and do not lean over the entrance while the unit is running. The equipment reaches high temperatures: let it cool before storing it.
