For cut comb, the pack is all there is between the honey and the counter. And what decides the result is not the bag: it is the state the comb goes into it in.
01 · BEFORE YOU PACK
Freeze it, then let it come round
Comb arrives with whatever it is carrying, and that includes wax moth eggs nobody sees until the customer opens the bag. 24 to 48 hours in the freezer before packing settles it. But then it has to come back to room temperature with the bag open: seal it cold and the condensation inside ruins the cleanest comb you have.
02 · THE SEAL
Heat-sealable, and that is what makes it a barrier
The mouth closes with a bar sealer in a second, and that seal is what turns it into a barrier against moisture and oxygen. A clip or a label will close it too, but then it is a sleeve, not a pack.
03 · THE MATERIAL
Cellulose, not plastic
It is cellulose film from renewable raw materials, suitable for food contact and compostable to EN 13432, the industrial composting standard. It comes clear and unprinted: the comb sells itself.
04 · BEFORE YOU BUY
Sold singly, not in packs. To heat-seal it you need a bar sealer, which is not included.
