Pine frame for producing clean, uniform comb honey. Fits section holder BR-67304 for fresh wax build-up and standard plastic boxes. 10×10×3,7 cm
When the nectar flow is in full swing and your supers are humming, it’s the perfect time to produce something special: comb honey, just as the bees seal it. This pine frame is designed to produce clean, uniform combs that fit directly into standard plastic boxes – no extraction required.
It is used inside the compatible comb section holder (ref. BR-67304), encouraging bees to build fresh foundation rather than using brood comb, which may contain treatment residues. The result is a purer, higher-value product.
Assembly tip: To guide comb building and prevent irregular construction, insert a narrow strip of foundation or apply a few drops of molten wax along the top groove. This gives the bees a clear starting point.
When and how to use
• Install in supers only during strong nectar flows (e.g. clover, orange blossom, eucalyptus, heather).
• Use with strong, populous colonies for even capping.
• Avoid placing too early in the season – with low nectar flow, the comb will not be drawn properly.
Harvesting and packaging: Once fully capped, remove frames carefully to preserve the comb. Pack directly into standard plastic boxes to retain all natural enzymes, aroma, and texture.
